The same retailer says the PRO models followed in the early 1990s, which the maker does not confirm. SoundGuys and iFixit list 2004 for the DT 990 PRO, which is read as a retail listing date and is not used. The date is for the DT 990 PRO family, not for the 250 ohm version alone.
